No Injuries In Tug Boat Fire On The Ohio River

The fire broke out Tuesday morning near Aurora.

(Aurora, Ind.) - No injuries were reported in a tug boat fire.

Lawrenceburg Fire was called to assist Dearborn County Water Rescue and Rising Sun Fire on a tug boat fire on the Ohio River near the Lighthouse Yacht Club.

The agencies were on the scene around 8:22 a.m.

The fire was brought under control within a couple hours and remains under investigation.

Lawrenceburg Fire reported that no pollution to the river occurred during the fire.

Ohio County EMA, Ohio County EMS, Cincinnati FD, Covington FD, Hebron FD, US Coast Guard and Indiana Department of Environmental Management assisted at the scene.
