Kimberly G. Meyer passed away last week at the age of 68.
(Napoleon, Ind.) - The Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department is mourning the loss of Assistant Chief Kimberly G. Meyer.
Meyer, of Greensburg, passed away on August 18 at the age of 68.
He dedicated 50 years of service to Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department and his community.
Assistant Chief Meyer's decades of commitment, leadership, and selfless service left a lasting impact on Napoleon Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. and on everyone he served alongside. He will be deeply missed by his fellow firefighters and by the community he protected for half a century. Please keep Assistant Chief Meyer's family, friends, and our entire Napoleon Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. family in your thoughts during this difficult time," reads a statement from Napoleon Fire.
Meyer graduated from Jac-Cen-Del High School in 1976. He later married his wife of 40 years, Judy McClain in September of 1985. They have two children and six grandchildren.
A funeral for family and friends will be held Wednesday, August 26 at the Napoleon Volunteer Fire Company Building at 3:00 PM with a visitation to follow at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
