Motorists Urged To Use Caution As U.S. 50 "White Top" Project Wraps Up

Lane restrictions are still in place on U.S. 50 between Aurora and Dillsboro.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Motorists are being reminded to use extra caution through the construction zone between Aurora and Dillsboro.

The $16.8 million “white top” project has been ongoing since March 2018.

The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department says U.S. 50 westbound is still down to one lane as crews continue to work on the inside lane. Therefore, traffic is forced to drive on the outside emergency lane.

With the eastbound portion of the project open, deputies say motorists need to use caution approaching the intersections.

The U.S. 50 “white top” project is scheduled to wrap up by the end of July.
