Model Railroad Expo to Take Place This Weekend in Lawrenceburg

The Liberty Theater will play host.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A popular holiday event is back in Lawrenceburg this week, as the Model Railroad Expo returns to the Liberty Theater. Planned for the weekend of December 12-14, the free event will feature large HO and O-scale running layouts on display in partnership with the Southern Indiana Model Railroading Association.

Located just one block from the railroad tracks in historic Downtown Lawrenceburg, the Liberty Theater is the ideal setting for this family-friendly event. Originally built in 1893 as home to the Liedertafel Society, the theater is the longest-standing public hall in Downtown Lawrenceburg and opened last year after extensive renovations. Located on Walnut Street in the City’s historic district, the venue is a premier original live music site and features onsite food service, a draft beer, bourbon and whiskey bar, plus regular brunches and special events.

The Expo is free and is open to all ages.
