The search took place on Tuesday in southeast Indiana.

(Greensburg, Ind.) - On Tuesday at approximately 7:00 pm, the Greensburg Police Department received a report of a female that left her residence and never returned home.
Police arrived on scene and gathered information stating that Shirley A. Rigby, 83, of Greensburg, Indiana had left her residence approximately two hours before police arrived. It was found that Rigby has been diagnosed with dementia.
Personnel from various local agencies arrived on scene and immediately started searching and continued to gather information. Though the whereabouts of Rigby were unknown, the information was posted on social media and received immediate attention.
With evidence provided by concerned citizens, Rigby was located within one mile of her residence. She had traveled through a heavily vegetated area and was located near an industrial facility.
