(Polk County, Fla.) – A Milan man is jailed in Florida on allegations that he inappropriately touched a child.

Terrill “Terry” Boggs, 39, was arrested in Dearborn County on August 1 on a warrant issued out of Polk County, Florida on July 31.

According to a court affidavit, Boggs was on a trip in Florida in June when he allegedly touched an underage girl. Investigators with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office say they viewed a cell phone photo taken by the victim showing Boggs’ hand in the victim’s shorts.

Detectives conducted an interview with Boggs on July 22 in which he said he did not do anything.

Boggs, who was extradited to Florida on Monday, is charged in Polk County with Lewd Molestation of a Child, a level 2 felony in Florida. He made his first appearance in court Tuesday and was assigned a $25,000 bond. A judge has ordered him to have no contact with the victim.
