(Milan, Ind.) – A Milan High School student is being celebrated as being a good citizen.
Senior Maitri Patel has been named a finalist for the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award and Scholarship Contest.
The award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities.
Students are selected by their teachers and peers.
Once a student is chosen as a DAR Good Citizen, the student is invited to participate in the scholarship portion of the program. The contest consists of a personal statement and an essay.
