(Milan, Ind.) - A Milan High School senior is raising money to get himself across the country for a strongman competition.

Mason Johnson competed in his first US Strongman competition in January and qualified for the USS Nationals competition in Denver, Colorado this summer.

Johnson has been lifting for many years as a varsity football player and wrestler at Milan High School, where he currently holds the all-time back squat record for his weight class in Milan’s weightlifting strength-conditioning class.

Weightlifting has always been a passion of Mason’s, and he hopes to show off his hard work at USS Nationals.

His fundraising goal is $2,000 before April.
