Milan Basketball Names Honorary Coach for 2026-27 Season

(Milan, Ind.) - The Milan High School boys basketball program is adding an honorary coach to the staff ahead of the 2026-27 season.

This week, the school board approved Knight Walters as an Honorary boys basketball coach for this year.

Knight tragically lost his parents, Jordan and Sierra Walters, in a head-on crash along State Road 350 in June. Knight, 6, was injured in the crash, but was able to exit the vehicle in attempt to get help for his younger brother and parents.

First year head coach Joe Kirkhoff welcomed Knight to the team at this week's school board meeting.
