Marijuana Dealing Interrupted By Brookville Police

By Mike Perleberg (Brookville, Ind.) - Brookville Police have arrested nine people after raiding two homes last weekend. The Brookville Democrat-American newspaper reports that the search warrants were served Saturday morning at homes on U.S. 52 and East First Street. Police found marijuana, paraphernalia and scales at each residence. Also discovered were four plastic bags each capable of carrying one pound of pot. The bags were labeled “medical marijuana” and appeared to be from a distribution company called CollectiveSupply.com. The nine people arrested and their accompanying criminal charges:

Kevin W. Kelley, 19, of Brookville – Sale of Marijuana (level 5 felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (level 6 felony), Possession of Marijuana (class A misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia (class C misdemeanor). Held on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.

Alya Acree, 19, of Cincinnati – Visiting or Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Blake A. Bolser, 21, of Brookville – Visiting or Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

James N. Conn, 20, of Brookville – Visiting or Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Marisa M. Keyser, 18, of West Harrison – Visiting or Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Brett D. Morford, 21, of Brookville – Visiting or Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Hunter D. Morford, 18, of Brookville – Visiting or Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

Garrett P.L. Pierce, 20, of Brookville – Visiting or Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.

A 15-year-old juvenile was also taken into custody. This round of arrested comes on the heels of a drug investigation in Laurel which ended with 13 arrests as police raided four separate homes. RELATED STORIES: 13 Rounded Up In Franklin Co. Drug Investigation
