A person was detailed but not arrested by police responding to the shooting Wednesday night.

(Milan, Ind.) - A shooting in Ripley County is under investigation.
Troopers and deputies responded to a home on Friendship Road near Milan around 8:30 Wednesday evening, December 5. There they found Joseph K. Christlieb, 43, with a gunshot to his shoulder.
Christlieb was given treatment at the scene before being flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles says a second person at the scene was detained, but not arrested.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing Thursday by ISP and the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
