Local Casinos Reopen With Restrictions

The number of slot machines and seats at table games available will be limited.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - "Welcome Back, we've missed you." 

Gamblers will see signs with similar messages as they enter Indiana casinos on Monday. 

All 15 of Indiana's casinos were shut down in mid-March due to COVID-19. Most will reopen their doors today, including Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg, Rising Star Casino and Belterra Casino Resort. 

Each casino was required to submit health and safety plans to the Indiana Gaming Commission prior to reopening. 

Protocols for each local casino can be seen below: 

Hollywood Casino

  • The number of slot machines and seats at table games available will be limited.
  • Live music, entertainment, convention, and banquet services will remain suspended.
  • Restaurant offerings will be limited and The Eatery will be open for service with a limited menu. Hollywood on the Roof will be open for bar service only.
  • Epic Buffet, Final Cut Steakhouse, Hops House 99 and Hollywood and Grind will remain closed.
  • Valet, VIP lounge, Poker Room & Sportsbook will remain closed until further notice. However, our self bet sports wagering kiosks will be available to sports wagering.
  • We will announce the beginning of hotel bookings in the coming weeks.

Rising Star Casino

  • All patrons are required to show ID, regardless of age, prior to entering the casino.
  • Signs will be posted outlining a checklist of COVID-19 symptoms, & requesting guests to not enter the property if they are exhibiting these symptoms.
  • Guest health screenings will be conducted before entering the casino. This includes temperature checks & health questions.
  • All guests are encouraged to wear facial coverings. Facial coverings will be available for patrons.
  • Facial coverings are required at table games & recommended for all guests.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available & complimentary for all guests.
  • All guests & team members are asked to follow social distancing practices by standing at least six feet away from any person who is not in their group. Floor graphics will be marked where lines tend to form.
  • Guest areas are cleaned & disinfected multiple times daily with EPA-approved products. This includes: slot machines, chairs, table games, restaurants, kitchens, restrooms, doors, handrails, counters, ATMs, kiosks, hotel rooms & Team Member areas.
  • HVAC systems have been upgraded with hospital grade filters.
  • Slots, table games & restaurant seating is configured to limit seating & encourage social distancing recommendations.
  • COVID-19 training, health screenings & masks are provided to all Team Members.
  • Team Members have been given instructions to notify Security immediately to report anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 on property.
  • Team Members are instructed to stay home if they do not feel well.
  • If we are alerted to a confirmed case of COVID-19 at the property, we will work with the local health agency to follow the appropriate actions recommended by that agency.

Gaming 

  • The number of players at each table game is limited.
  • The maximum number of players allowed per table will be posted at each location.
  • Facial coverings are required at table games & recommended for all guests.
  • Guests congregating behind players will not be allowed.
  • Some slot machines will be deactivated in order to adhere to social guidelines.
  • All table games, chairs, fixtures, game pieces & slot machines will be cleaned & disinfected on a regular basis.

Hotel

  • Frequent cleaning & disinfecting of counter spaces, keys, wheelchairs, scooters, luggage carts, elevators & vending machines.
  • Deep cleaning & disinfecting of guest rooms is performed after check out.

Restaurants

  • Restaurant seating has been reduced to allow for social distancing.
  • Tables & chairs will be cleaned & disinfected regularly.
  • All touch point surfaces will be disinfected on a regular basis.

Sports Book

  • Seating will be arranged in the Sports Book to adhere to social distancing, with limited betting stations.
  • There will be frequent cleaning & disinfecting of counters, chairs & stations.

Elevators

  • Elevator occupancy is limited to a maximum of three people.

Belterra Casino Resort 

 

  • Guest health screenings are being conducted on arrival. All guests are encouraged to wear facial coverings.
  • Hand sanitizer is available and complimentary for all guests.
  • Guest spaces are cleaned and disinfected multiple times daily with EPA-approved products. This includes: slot machines, chairs, table games, restaurants, kitchens, restrooms, doors, handrails, counters, ATMs, kiosks, and Team Member areas.
  • The frequency of air filter replacement and HVAC system cleaning has been increased.
  • Slots, table games, and restaurant & bar seating is configured and limited to adhere to social distancing recommendations.
  • Guest occupancy limits are followed in retail shops and banquet & meeting spaces.
  • COVID-19 training, health screenings, and masks are provided to all Team Members.
