Light Up Aurora Set for June 28

Kick off your 4th of July holiday in downtown Aurora.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Community members are invited to "Come for the Party" at Gabbard Riverfront Park for the annual Light Up Aurora event. 

The celebration takes place Saturday, June 28 starting at 6:00 p.m. 

Festivities include the National Anthem by Madison Jarvis, a Cruise-in by River City Classic Car Club, beer garden by Hankering Southern Kitchen and Third & Main, and Kids area with bouncy house and games sponsored by Aurora Churches Association.

Food vendors are Comb’s Pizza, Hankering Southern Kitchen, Indy Annie’s Kettle Corn, J. Miller Steak Company, LJ’s Comfort Food, Mingles, Silly Cow, Spotlight Dance Boosters, Sweet Shave & Twisted Tater Retail vendors; American Legion 231, Bandana Boy, Bobbi’s Crafty Corner, C&C Unique Treasurers, Ceramics by Cheryl, The Crafters Cove, Dana’s Smell Goods, Diamond Jeff’s Quilts, Hat Bar by Farrah Ann, Kim’s Creations, L&J Woodworking, Let’s Glow Crazy, Positive Love Jewelry, Rita Mae Crochet, Strong Candle Co. and the Stuffing Station.

Information vendors include Eagle Country 99.3, Empire Real Estate, Fehrman Realty and Main Street Aurora.

Kristine Kabbes and The Skallywags will provide live music from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. 

“Stay for the show” beginning at 10:00 p.m. with fireworks by Yokum Fireworks in cooperation with Aurora EMS, Aurora Fire Department, Aurora Lions Club, Aurora Street Department, Carlisle & Bray Enterprises, Chip Farrell, Doug Holland, Jurgensen Aggregates, PG Gentrup, Paul H. Rohe Co. and volunteers.

Tune into Your Hometown Radio Station, Eagle Country 99.3 for fireworks synchronized music.
