(Whitewater Township, Oh.) - Lawrenceburg Road is closed due to high water.

According to Hamilton County Engineers, the road closure is in place between Suspension Bridge Road and U.S. 50 until further notice.

Hamilton County Engineers will monitor the water level and re-open the roadway as soon as possible.

A Flood Watch remains in effect for portions of Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky until 11:00 p.m. Repeating rounds of showers and thunderstorms may result in one to three inches of rainfall with higher amounts possible.

Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Residents in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
