Lawrenceburg Public Library Kicks Off Summer with Terrific Tuesdays, Reading Challenge

The first Terrific Tuesday event happens this afternoon in Civic Park.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Terrific Tuesdays are back!

Presented by the Lawrenceburg Public Library, Terrific Tuesday events will be held at Lawrenceburg Civic Park, the Lawrenceburg Public Library, and the North Dearborn Branch Library.

There will be two showings each Tuesday. The first starts at 2:00 p.m. at Civic Park, followed by a second showing at 6:00 p.m. at the North Dearborn Branch Library.

All events take place at Civic Park and North Dearborn Branch Library, unless otherwise listed. 

Terrific Tuesdays Lineup:

  • Tuesday, June 7: Leonardo Kids Music - Bring your dance shoes and best air guitar moves. This high energy show rocks.
  • Tuesday, June 14: Bright Star Theatre: The Little Mermaid – Follow the adventure of a mermaid who wishes to become human.
  • Tuesday, June 21: Rope Warrior – Prepare for crazy tricks and athletic feats from jump rope master David Fisher.
  • Tuesday, June 28: Hooked on Science – Mr. Science (aka Jason Lindsey) will present science experiments about water and the ocean.
  • Tuesday, July 5: Movie Beach Party – (First showing at Lawrenceburg Public Library) Kids and families can join us for a beach-themed party while watching Lilo & Stitch! Enjoy freshly popped popcorn in addition to a super cool ocean-themed snack that you can craft yourself! Kindly RSVP via online registration, if possible. 
  • Tuesday, July 12: Magic with Cincinnati Circus Co. - Join us with Cincinnati Circus Company’s finest magicians in this fun magic show for all ages! 
  • Tuesday, July 19: Foam Cannon Mayhem - Think foam – think LOTS of foam. Join us with Absolute Science and their legendary foam cannon, which spews mountains of foam perfect for playing. Foam is nontoxic, completely safe, and simply evaporates. 

Attendees at Civic Park are invited to bring their own chairs. 

Lawrenceburg Civic Park will be closed to traffic between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. for Terrific Tuesdays and bollards remain in place until 11:00 p.m. for movie nights that follow in Civic Park.
