(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Get hooked on fishing on July 30.
The Lawrenceburg Police Department will host the annual fishing event at Ludlow Hill Park from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All youth ages 19 and under are invited to participate.
The fishing tournament is designed to encourage youth of the community to get out and enjoy the outdoors while fishing responsibly.
On site volunteers will be measuring all fish and helping young anglers release them back into the water.
Prizes such as fishing poles, tackle, clothing and gift cards will be awarded for each age group, which consists of 8 and under, 9-14, and 15-19.
The event will also feature hourly door prize drawings, Lawrenceburg Fire and Lawrenceburg Police vehicle tours, and lunch at noon.
