Lawrenceburg High School Names New Assistant Principal

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Mr. Brice Darling, a long-standing administrator, and teacher, has been named the next assistant principal of Lawrenceburg High School after receiving School Board approval during a meeting on March 13th. Mr. Darling will begin working with the current LHS Principal, Mr. Jared Leiker, and will formally take the position after Mr. Johnson’s retirement in the summer of 2023.

Mr. Darling is transferring from his current assistant principal role at Greendale Middle School, where he has helped to lead the school for the past three years. Mr. Darling has over seven years of experience at the high school level and expressed interest in this role when he became an administrator at Lawrenceburg in 2019.

Having served as an administrator and educator for over a decade, Mr. Darling is bringing his vast experience in education and leadership into his role as the new assistant principal. Before being an administrator at Greendale Middle School, Mr. Darling served six years as a high school math teacher at Seymour High School and one year as Dean at Columbus East High School.

“I am excited about the opportunity to continue helping students become responsible and productive citizens,” says Mr. Darling, “Mr. Johnson and Mr. Snyder have left a great legacy that I look forward to continuing to build upon with Mr. Leiker and the staff at LHS. I look forward to being a servant leader for the students, staff, and community.”
