Lawrenceburg Celebrates National Cerebral Palsy Day, Bella Loschiavo Day

It was an eventful Friday at the Lawrenceburg Community Center.

Lawrenceburg Mayor Kelly Mollaun, city employees and family were joined by community members to help show support for Bella Loschiavo, who strives to lead a positive and full life while living with cerebral palsy. Photo provided.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - March 25th marked National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. Cerebral palsy is one of the most common childhood disorders in the United States. Around 764,000 people in the U.S. (including children and adults) have at least one symptom of cerebral palsy. Exercise, Adaptive Sports and Physical Activity help people with Cerebral Palsy of all ability levels across their lifespan lead quality, productive lives.

Lawrenceburg Mayor Kelly Mollaun, city employees and family were joined by community members to help show support for Bella Loschiavo, who strives to lead a positive and full life while living with cerebral palsy.

Mayor Mollaun presented her with the Bella Loschiavo Day in conjunction with National Cerebral Palsy Day Proclamation which included:

WHEREAS: Fashionista Bella Loschiavo, current employee of the City of Lawrenceburg and the Lawrenceburg Community Center, has steadfastly encouraged advocacy for Cerebral Palsy Awareness, even cornering unknown elected officials when needed,

WHEREAS: Bella’s biggest impact with her family, our community and at the Lawrenceburg Community Center is her genuine enthusiasm and love for people, her hard work ethic and her inclusive capacity to share positive vibes with flair,

WHEREAS: Having been serenaded by Tim McGraw, Bella’s number one dream now is to become a spokesperson for Cerebral Palsy Awareness and of course to meet Johnny Depp in person,

NOW THEREFORE, on behalf of all the special guests here today, I, Kelly Mollaun, Mayor of the City of Lawrenceburg, do hereby recognize March 25th 2022 as BELLA LOSCHIAVO DAY in the City of Lawrenceburg and invite all citizens to duly note this occasion.
