Lauren's Burg Hill Race Day Instructions Announced

There are some important things to know if you are running on Saturday morning.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Final instructions have been released for the 9th annual Lauren's Burg Hill 5K and 5-mile runs. 

Event organizers are reminding participants about packet pickup, parking and other important information ahead of Saturday's races. 

Packet pickup is running until 7:00 a.m. Friday at Lawrenceburg Civic Park. Those who are unable to pick up their packet on Friday, can pick it up on Saturday before the event at the starting area at Lawrenceburg City Hall on Walnut Street beginning at 5:45 a.m.

According to event coordinators, there will be no parking on the high school campus. A map is attached with locations of parking areas. And due to insurance regulations and Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation Policy no dogs or other animals will be permitted to be on the course at any time or school grounds unless they are a CERTIFIED SERVICE ANIMAL.

The following locations have been designated for parking: 

  1. St. Lawrence School. Back parking lot. Enter from Short St.
  2. Central Elementary School. North and South Lots. Enter from Short St. Limited parking on Short St. by the school
  3. Lawrenceburg Little League Baseball Complex & Community Center. Enter off Walnut St. Turn right ½ block off US-50. Limited parking on Walnut St. to Center St.
  4. Beecher Church. Behind Lawrenceburg City Hall. Enter off Short St. go ½ block past Center St. Lot is on the right.
  5. Ivy Tech Parking Garage. Take Short St. to High St. Garage will be ½ block South of High St.

Both the 5K and 5-mile races will begin at 7:22 a.m. The event is a gun start chip finish timed event. Runners and walkers are reminded to remove chips at the finish line. The event is charged $7.50 for missing chips.
