Local officers helped numerous families shop for needed clothing and gifts on December 5.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Laughery Valley FOP celebrated another successful year of Cops and Kids by raising close to $48,000.
On December 5, the FOP gathered at Walmart in Aurora to shop with local families in need, providing needed clothing and gifts to 350 children from Dearborn and Ohio counties.
The FOP extends special thanks to the 60 local officers, spouses, WAR members, Dearborn County Explorers and Auxiliary members for helping on shopping day.
Local businesses and organizations that helped make the Cops and Kids program a success this year include SIEOC, Dearborn Community Foundation, Moores Hill American Legion, Hollywood Casino, Affordable Tax, Kelsey Chevrolet, McCord Signs, Lawrenceburg Lions Club, Celeste Cal Vito Communications, North Dearborn American Legion, Big G’s Barbeque, Walmart, and the officers that participated in the “No Shave November” fundraiser.
The FOP also recognized Sheriff Shane McHenry, Prosecutor Lynn Deddens and the many area residents that supported the cause.
