(Batesville, Ind.) - Lane closures are scheduled to begin this week on State Road 229 in Batesville.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, northbound and southbound State Road 229 will be reduced to one lane between Frontage Road and Northside Drive starting on or after Monday.
The lane closures are due to an access management project.
In the project area, motorists will only be able to turn left of of State Road 229 at the intersection of Northside Drive as well as the intersection of Frontage Road and Cross County Plaza, while work is in progress.
The project is expected to be complete by late July.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
