KSP Makes Arrest of Armed Man on School Property in Trimble County

(Trimble County, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a 911 call on Tuesday about a man armed with a handgun outside Trimble County High School.

In less than three minutes, Post 5 Troopers arrived at the school and took the man into custody without incident, ensuring there was no danger to the students or public.

Brendan Parkin, 22, of Doniphan, Missouri, was arrested and charged with the following Terroristic Threatening, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, Alcoholic Intoxication in a Public Place, and Violations of Conditions of Release.

According to WDRB+WAVE, Parkin was out on a $50,000 bond while facing 14 charges involving sexual images of minors

This investigation remains ongoing by KSP Post 5 and was assisted by the Trimble County Sheriff's Office.
