KSP Investigate Truck Stop Robbery

(Sparta, Ky.) – A truck stop in Sparta was robbed Tuesday night, September 16. Kentucky State Police troopers are investigating the robbery at the Love’s Travel Stop which occurred around 8:42 p.m. According to witnesses, a black male, approximately 5’11”, came into the store wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and a blue cap.  The man went to the clerk and advised he had a gun and demanded money.  The clerk gave the perpetrator money and he fled the store in an unknown direction of travel, possibly traveling in a dark SUV.
