Donations support mentally handicapped citizens in the area.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Knights of Columbus in Lawrenceburg will hold their 48th Annual Solicitation Drive this week to benefit citizens in the area with intellectual disabilities.
The event takes place Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10.
Local businesses and professionals are asked to contribute to this charitable effort. Checks can be made payable to Knights of Columbus Council No. 1231 and sent to Knights of Columbus Council 1231, 9 West Center Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025-1931.
Since their first drive in 1978, the Knights of Columbus in Lawrenceburg has raised $287,062 to support programs such as New Horizons Rehabilitation, Special Olympics, and ROD Special Education Cooperative.
