Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Involved Collision in Warsaw

(Gallatin County, Ky.) – One person is dead, and another was injured in a pedestrian involved accident in Warsaw.

According to Kentucky State Police, the accident involving a 2018 Ford Escape and two pedestrians occurred on Tuesday just after 5:00 p.m.

Investigators say the driver was traveling west on U.S. 42 at the intersection of KY 35 when two pedestrians entered the roadway near the crosswalk.

Both pedestrians were struck.

The Gallatin County Coroner pronounced a 76-year-old female from Dry Ridge deceased at the scene. An 83-year-old male from Dry Ridge was transported to a medical facility for treatment of unknown injuries.

The family of the pedestrians have requested their identities not be released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
