ISP-Versailles Sgt. Rescues Kittens While Patrolling I-65

Another trooper has offered to give the kittens a loving home.

(Versailles, Ind.) – Two kittens are heading home after Indiana State Police Sergeant Stephen Wheeles came to their rescue.

Sgt. Wheeles was patrolling along Interstate 65 in southern Jackson County on Wednesday when he came across the kittens.

“Thankfully, they were unharmed,” Wheeles said in a Facebook post.

The kittens were freed from their cell and given some fresh water.

Another trooper has agreed to keep them unless an owner is located.
