ISP Release Body Cam Footage from Water Rescue Near Holton

The incident took place on Wednesday.

(Holton, Ind.) - The Indiana State Police has released body camera footage from the water rescue on Wednesday near Holton.

Troopers from the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post, along with officers from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana Conservation Officers worked with local fire departments to rescue three people stuck in a vehicle that had been swept approximately a half mile downstream from a flooded crossing.

Divers from the Indiana State Police and Indiana Conservation Officers entered the water to free the occupants and to get them to safety.

Indiana State Police remind motorists to not underestimate the power of moving water.
