Injuries Sustained In Single-Vehicle Accident On U.S. 52

The driver told the police she was pointing something out to passenger while traveling past former residence when the accident occurred.

(Metamora, Ind.) - Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a single vehicle accident Friday, April 26 on U.S. 52 around 3:40 p.m.

Valerie A. Totten, 61, of Brookville was driving westbound on U.S. 52 when her vehicle went off the north side of the roadway striking a culvert and a tree.

Totten told deputies that she was pointing something out to her passenger Elizabeth A. Reyes,62, of San Bernardino, California when the accident occurred.

Totten and Reyes were transported by Franklin County E.M.S. to Mercy Health Center in Harrison, Ohio for the treatment of minor injuries that were sustained during the accident.
