Students are returning to the classroom this week and next for the start of the 2024-25 school year.

(Southeast Indiana) - It is back to school time in Eagle Country.
Over the next couple of weeks, students will be returning to the classroom, which means motorists are being reminded to use extra caution when driving.
Indiana Department of Transportation: Southeast has provided the following tips to make sure all students get to school and home from school safe this year:
- Use caution when driving. Watch out for buses, bikes and foot traffic.
- Always stop for crossing guards who are directing pedestrians.
- Stop when school buses extend the stop sign arm so that children can safely exit or enter the bus.
Start dates for schools in southeast Indiana are listed below:
- Lawrenceburg: Wednesday, July 31
- Rising Sun-Ohio County: Monday, August 5
- Batesville: Tuesday, August 6 and Wednesday, August 7
- Sunman-Dearborn: Wednesday, August 7
- South Dearborn: Wednesday, August 7
- South Ripley: Wednesday, August 7
- Switzerland County: Wednesday, August 7
- Milan: Wednesday, August 7
- Franklin County: Wednesday, August 7
