(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is currently working to address issues in an asphalt paving work zone on State Road 46 in Batesville.
The area of concern is near Pearl Street, extending west toward Morris.
Paving work began in the impacted area over the weekend with no issues.
INDOT was notified Tuesday afternoon of vehicles driving through the work zone sustaining damage as pavement became detached from the milled surface. The cause of detachment is currently unknown. Traffic has been moved to an unaffected area of the work zone. INDOT is currently investigating the incident and will continue to monitor the roadway.
