(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana’s unemployment rate has remained unchanged over the past three months.
According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the state’s jobless rate stood at 4.1 percent in August.
Indiana’s unemployment rate remains under the national rate of 5.2 percent.
The state’s total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.34 million, and the state’s 63.1 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 61.7 percent.
Among neighboring states, Kentucky reported an unemployment rate of 4.4 percent last month, followed by Ohio at 5.4 percent.
Data for Indiana counties will be released on Monday, September 20 at 12:00 p.m.
