Indiana DOE Releases ILEARN Scores

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Education has released 2026 ILEARN scores.

This year, students in grades three through eight took a new, shorter version of the ILEARN to test their proficiency in both English/Language Arts and Math.

Statewide, approximately 42 percent of Indiana students were proficient in English/Language Arts and 43 percent were proficient in Math.

Around 31.5 percent of students were proficient in both.

Data from the ILEARN Checkpoints informs instruction and interventions on the Indiana Academic Standards, supporting student learning throughout the course of the school year. Data from ILEARN end-of-year (summative) assessments is used to check students’ mastery of the standards at the end of the year, to evaluate program efficacy, and for school accountability.
