IN Superintendent Of Public Instruction Seeks Forgiveness For State Testing

The Spring 2020 IREAD-3 and ISTEP+ First Time Administration (FTA) will be suspended/postponed.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Jennifer McCormick, is requesting forgiveness and approval from Governor Holcomb and the United States Department of Education.

In a notice to test coordinators and superintendents, Dr. McCormick postponed the Spring 2020 IREAD-3.

As of today, ISTEP+ First Time Administration (FTA) will be suspended.

The Indiana Department of is waiting for forgiveness guidance on all other state assessments, including ILEARN and I AM, from Governor Holcomb's office and the U.S. Department of Education.

Dr. McCormick is seeking full forgiveness from all statewide assessments and will continue to pursue approval from Governor Holcomb and the US Department of Education. pic.twitter.com/1oNgeVEjwt
