The Paint the Plow campaign raises awareness for safety on Indiana roadways.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana schools are invited to grab their paint brushes and participate in the Indiana Department of Transportation's 2020 Paint the Plow campaign.
This annual campaign aims to promote safety and awareness of INDOT’s Winter Operations throughout the year.
Participating schools will be paired with a local INDOT unit to paint an INDOT snow plow blade. All middle schools, high schools, and career-technical schools are welcome to take part.
Students are encouraged to use original artwork to represent their school.
The artwork will be seen in full service during the winter weather months. These blades may also be used at events within the school’s community to enhance public awareness, promote safety, and foster greater appreciation of both INDOT and the school.
To participate, schools must fill out an application and waiver which can be found online at painttheplow.indot.in.gov.
Completed applications and further questions can be emailed to nagarrett@indot.in.gov.
For a full list of rules and information on the campaign, check out the INDOT Paint the Plow brochure.
