(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Two men and a woman are accused of possessing heroin near a Lawrenceburg school.

On Thursday, July 3, and Indiana State Police trooper stopped a black Chrysler car on Short Street in Lawrenceburg after finding that the vehicle’s plate was registered to a tan Plymouth.

The trooper quickly became suspicious of the vehicle’s occupants. A search of the car turned up syringes filled with heroin and other paraphernalia.

The bust was made in the driveway of the apartment where one of the passengers, Ricky Wyckoff III, 21, resides.  Wyckoff’s apartment is located near Central Elementary School, according to the court affidavit detailing the trooper’s findings.

Also arrested were the driver of the vehicle Ronald Brown, Jr., 29, of Aurora, and a second passenger Heather Carnine, 21, of Rising Sun.

All three are now in jail in Dearborn County on charges of Possession of a Narcotic Drug Within 1,000 Feet of a School (Class B felony) and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle (Class D felony). They have each been ordered held on $150,000 surety and $50,000 cash bond.
