(Harrison, Oh.) - Southwest Local Schools' K-8 students will get out of school early once again Friday due to the heat.

Some schools in the district have no air conditioning. Temperatures in the 90s today will force a two-hour early dismissal Friday, as was the case Thursday.

Before long, hot days won’t be as much of a worry at Southwest Local Schools. A new middle school and three new elementary schools currently under construction and slated to open in 2021 will have AC.

Ground was broken on the new school construction last month.
