(Harrison, Oh.) – People helping people.
That could have been the theme of the annual Easter Trunk or Treat at the Harrison VFW Duwel Post 7570 last week.
While hundreds of children went home with full Easter baskets, the YES Home was surprised with a $1,000 donation from Junior Vice Commander Bill Floyd.
The YES Home is a residential group home for youths ages 12-20, providing a structured, nurturing environment for abused, neglected, and abandoned children.
The YES Home is funded through per-diems, donations, memorials and Live United of Cincinnati. Tax deductable contributions help give children of the YES Home a chance to become contributing members of society, and break the cycle of abuse and neglect.

Another way to get involved is to support the annual YES Home Golf Tournament on Monday, June 5 at Sugar Ridge Golf Club. Visit www.yeshome.org to learn how you can sponsor the event.
