(Harrison, Oh.) – With Veterans Day right around the corner, the Harrison VFW Post 7570 is collecting items for care packages to send to troops overseas.
Items that are most requested are:
- Carmex Lip Ointment
- Deodorant
- Disposable Razors
- Gel Insoles
- Insect Repellant
- Kleenex Small Packs
- Sunscreen
- Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
- Beef Jerky
- Dried Fruits
- Drink Singles
- Instant Coffee Singles
- Chili w/Spaghetti
- Tuna Packs (Not cans)
- Socs (White and black)
Troops also enjoy handwritten notes, cards and letters of encouragement.
Donations can be dropped off in the Canteen at the VFW Post 7570 at 9160 Lawrenceburg Road in Harrison. The VFW will be collecting through November 10.
Those who have a deployed solider you would like to be included, please send the soldier’s name and shipping address to the VFW via Facebook, attn: Maxine Laugle.
