(Harrison, Oh.) - A Harrison High School a cappella group is one step closer to reaching their goal of heading to New York City to perform at nationals.
This past weekend, Southwest Local Schools' A Cappella Program hosted the International Competition for High School A Cappella at the Martin Marietta Theater.
Harrison groups, DYNAMIX and Take Note competed against 7 regional high school groups.
DYNAMIX was able to place 2nd to move on to Centerville's competition on March 14. This competition will give the group the opportunity to earn their spot at finals in NYC.
In addition to claiming 2nd place, DYNAMIX also received a special award for best arrangements.
Also, Brayden Helms was awarded for Best Choreography.
Both Harrison A Cappella groups are directed by Kelsey DeMange.
