Hamilton Woman Dies In 4th Of July Car Crash

The wreck happened Wednesday morning on State Road 252 in Franklin County.

(Franklin County, Ind.) - A woman died in a Fourth of July car crash in Franklin County.

Sheriff’s deputies say Patricia Lynn Archer, 75, of Hamilton, was driving westbound on State Road 252 near Raymond Road at around 6:30 a.m. Her 2000 Chevrolet Malibu went off the highway and overturned several times before coming to a rest in a field.

Archer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner.

The sheriff’s department is continuing to investigate that deadly crash. They do not know what caused Archer’s vehicle to leave the roadway.

Other agencies assisting included Drewersburg Volunteer Fire Department, Drewersburg EMS 1, Responder 24, and the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
