Hamilton County Deputy Injured In I-74 Exit Ramp Wreck

The deputy suffered minor injuries in the Friday morning crash.

(Green Township, Oh.) - A Hamilton County Sheriff's deputy suffered minor injuries when his SUV was struck by a vehicle on the Interstate 74 exit at North Bend Road.

Sheriff Jim Neil says the deputy's unmarked Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped on the exit from westbound I-74 at around 11:03 a.m. Friday. A 2000 Buick driven by David Binzer, 52, of Cincinnati, was taking the exit ramp when his vehicle struck the rear of the Tahoe.

The deputy, whose name has not been released, was transported to nearby Mercy West for treatment of minor injuries.

Binzer was no hurt.

Deputies say drugs, alcohol, and speed were not factors. They did cite Binzer for Failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
