(Greendale, Ind.) - BWF Envirotec and City of Greendale leaders recently came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Germany-based company’s new North American manufacturing headquarters/

The project represents an approximately $9 million investment by BWF Envirotec. The 65,000 sq. ft. facility will host 60 jobs with an average annual wage of $75,000 per year.

BWF Envirotec, a leading global provider of all-in-one solutions for industrial filtration, will manufacture industrial filters at the new Greendale operation.

Greendale Mayor Vince Karsteter offered the following comments at the event.

“We are very proud of what we’ve built here in Greendale. Our little city has become a major employment hub for Dearborn County and Southeast Indiana. As mayor, you might expect me to take the credit, but the truth is that days like today happen only as the culmination of many projects and partnerships with many of you here in attendance today.

Partners like Indiana Municipal Power Agency, Sycamore Gas, South Dearborn Regional Sewer District, the Lawrenceburg Conservancy District, Dearborn County, Maxwell Construction, Lawrenceburg Community Schools, and Indiana Economic Development Corporation. Collectively, they have helped us create an environment where businesses can succeed. This is not just some bold statement. It is a fact. Just look at great local businesses like Polycraft Products, Hydrastar, Anchor Glass, Ross & Squibb Distillery, Catalent, OMNI Technologies, Fortis Security, iMedical, Kelsey Chevrolet, Wyler, and Haag Ford among many others. Our city has many great businesses who have made the thoughtful decision to invest their dollars here.

We’re proud that we’ve added businesses like those I just listed because they are good corporate citizens in Greendale. And today we are glad to extend our Hoosier hospitality to yet another new business.

As mayor and on behalf of Greendale City Council and the Greendale Redevelopment Commission, I am honored to welcome BWF Envirotec to our city. For the first time ever, we can say that Greendale will be home to the North American headquarters of an international company.”
