Greensburg Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident in Batesville

The crash took place Thursday morning at the intersection of State Road 46 and State Road 229.

(Batesville, Ind.) – One person is dead, and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Batesville.

Batesville Police responded to the crash Thursday morning at the intersection of State Road 46 and State Road 229.

According to a news release, Babara Bridgewater, 69, of Greensburg, was traveling southbound on SR 229 and attempting to turn eastbound onto SR 46. At the same time, a vehicle driven by James Seibel, 70, of Greensburg, was traveling north on SR 229 and crossing through the intersection with SR 46 when the collision occurred.

Seibel was transported to Margaret Mary Health and later transferred to UC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Bridgewater was treated for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
