Greendale Cinema Still Has Seats For Star Wars

By Mike Perleberg Image via Lucasfilm (Greendale, Ind.) - If you’re among the Star Wars fans hoping to be among the first to see the seventh installment in the series, opening night tickets are still available at Greendale Cinema. The theater says it has sold out one theater for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, but has expanded seating to a second theater for the film’s first showing at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. The theater also has a 3D showing of the film at 7:20. There was a rush on tickets to opening night of the much-anticipated intergalactic adventure film when they went on pre-sale a month ago. Greendale Cinema management says moviegoers are welcome to wear costumes, whether Wookie or Jedi, to the showings. However, you should leave your lightsaber (real or plastic) at home as the theater does not allow weapons. Masks have to be removed when entering the building. Rave Motion Pictures in Florence says it has sold out for many but not all showings of The Force Awakens Thursday night.

We still have tickets available for the premier of Star Wars: The Force Awakens this Thursday and all weekend! https://t.co/KSuQRIZvzV!!
