(Green Township, Oh.) – Green Township is mourning the loss of a longtime firefighters.
Mike Weissman passed away Wednesday night, according to Green Township Fire & EMS.
Weissman had suffered from chronic kidney problems. He was recuperating from a successful kidney transplant when he passed.
His death was sudden and unexpected.
Green Township Fire & EMS issued the following statement:
“While he was a dedicated, respected and loved member of our department, we always knew that he had a special place in his heart for his service in the US Navy. He spoke of it often and kept in contact with shipmates over social media. So, we’ll wish Mike fair winds and following seas. Please keep Mike and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”
