GoFundMe Launched to Support Dedicated Local Nurse

The Batesville native is undergoing surgery which will keep her out of work for at least two months

(Batesville, Ind.) - A GoFundMe has been launched to support a dedicated nurse and her family.

Kacie Biggs, 25, of Batesville, is undergoing a 5-in-1 reconstructive foot surgery to correct ongoing issues that have significantly affected her daily life.

Because she works as a nurse, she is on her feet for 12-hour shifts.

Her surgeon has placed strict restrictions on her recovery, making it impossible for her to safely return to work for 8-10 weeks.

In addition, her short-term disability claim was denied, leaving her family without her income until she can return to work.

Biggs is a mother of three and has rent, utilities, groceries, insurance and everyday expenses to cover.
