(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Some good ole’ fishing fun will take place this month in Lawrenceburg.
“Get Hooked on Fishing” with the Lawrenceburg Police Department on Saturday, July 27 at Ludlow Hill Park.
The event will run from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the front pond.
All youth ages 19 and under are invited to participate in the rod and reel, catch and release fishing event.
Participants will be split up into three age groups (8 and under, 9-14 years, 15-19 years). There will be prize opportunities for each age group for largest catfish, largest bass, and largest panfish. Hourly door prizes will also be given out.
Prizes include fishing poles, tackle, clothing, and gift cards.
Aside from the fishing fun, there will be Lawrenceburg Fire and Lawrenceburg Police vehicle tours with lunch at noon.
The event is designed to be a fun tournament to encourage youth in the community to get out and enjoy the outdoors while fishing responsibly.
