(Connersville, Ind.) - A southeastern Indiana chain store is growing again. George’s Pharmacy has announced plans to open a store in Connersville. Located on East Fifth Street, it will include a pharmacy, medical equipment, gift items, liquor, and a drive-thru window. The business was founded in Brookville in 1985 by George Gillman. He now runs the company with the help of sons Blake and Trent. “We’re very excited about opening in Connersville, and we look forward to serving the people of Fayette County and the surrounding area,” Blake Gillman said. “We have been asked for years if we could put a store in Connersville, as we already have many customers in and around town. We’re happy that we will be able to serve those customers better with the new store.” The Connersville store expected to open later this year will be the seventh location for George’s Pharmacy, which already has stores in Brookville, Bright, Milan, Sunman and Versailles. Last year, George’s opened a store on State Road 46 in Batesville. George Gillman thanks customers and communities for allowing the company to grow. “We’ve always hoped we’d be able to come to Connersville someday, and finally everything worked out for it. We thank everyone who’s helped make it so,” he said. Even customers who don’t live near one of the six existing stores can still get their medications or respiratory supplies delivered. “Our delivery service has grown to where we’re delivering to a large part of Indiana, and into Ohio and Kentucky as well,” said Trent Gillman. “We already have delivery vans in Connersville five days a week.”
