Press release from Skyline Chili

(St. Leon, Ind.) – This week, Skyline Chili’s newest franchisees followed up the Dec. 1 groundbreaking of their forthcoming State Route 1 location with a generous tour of food and friendship. Michelle and Dave Deddens, long time business owners in St. Leon, are delivering more than 400 Skyline signature Cheese Coneys to all teachers and staff at five schools located in Sunman and Dearborn County. The Deddens will open their own Skyline at Interstate 74 at 27968 State Route 1 in the spring, but while construction is in progress, they couldn’t wait to treat some very important community leaders to the region’s favorite fare. “We want to thank our local educators here in Southeastern Indiana for all they do to make our future bright, so we are delivering an average of 80 Coneys each day this week to staff at our local schools. My wife and I are taking our ‘Skyline Cheese Coney tour’ to Sunman Elementary School, Sunman Dearborn Intermediate School, Sunman Dearborn Middle School, North Dearborn Elementary and East Central High School to treat their staff. Since St. Leon’s new Skyline is still under construction, we visited our friends at the Harrison Skyline for the Cheese Coneys,” said Dave Deddens. The Deddens family has been part of the St. Leon business and civic community for more than two decades and also owns the 3-D Mart and 1-Stop Express in St. Leon.
