(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - An upcoming event will raise crucial funds for a local resident who needs a kidney transplant.

The event will take place at the Lawrenceburg Eagles on Saturday, March 29 from 1:00 p.m. to midnight.

There will be horse races, split the pot, raffle baskets, cake walk with a twist, walking tacos for $5, and live music from Rick Martin, Kevin Burress, and Wade & Murphy.

Proceeds from the event will support Brandi Holt.

According to a GoFundMe page, Holt had auto immune kidney disease for over 20 years. in 2023, her kidneys started worsening rapidly after COVID-19.

She will undergo kidney transplant surgery in the coming weeks. However, she will do so with zero income after recently losing her job. Holt says she has almost $20,000 in medical bills.

"If you can donate any amount, it will be put straight to help me get my transplant and stay on top of my finances," said Holt.
